Dr. Vinod Patel, MD, FACC, FSCAI is a highly accomplished cardiologist and interventional cardiology specialist serving the Brooklyn community at Park Slope Cardiology. Dr. Patel’s medical journey began at Saurastra University / MP Shah Medical College in India. He subsequently completed residency training in internal medicine at Loyola University Chicago Resurrection Hospitals, followed by multiple prestigious cardiology fellowships — including Interventional Cardiology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York. He holds an affiliation with The Mount Sinai Hospital and is a member of the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions.
A true innovator, Dr. Patel holds patents for medical devices he developed — most notably a mechanical pump designed to treat patients with refractory congestive heart failure. He has co-authored over 25 peer-reviewed research publications and regularly serves on medical task forces.
